Many conditions can present with symptoms of dizziness or vertigo. These include neck pain, headaches, migraines, BPPV, labyrinthitis and concussion. It’s important to find the cause of your symptoms, and this might be something chiropractic treatment can help with.
Vertigo can be an incapacitating condition, and we understand how it has the potential to affect your quality of life in many ways. You may have been recommended to see a chiropractor for dizziness and vertigo, or perhaps you have been researching dizziness treatment and are wondering, does going to a chiropractor help with vertigo?
The Neuro-Muscular Clinic has a long history of success in treating patients who have been referred to us by healthcare professionals and other chiropractors who are aware of our special interest in neurology. At our clinic we carefully assess movement, balance and posture. In particular, the health and relationship of the eyes, ears and neck, as these are essential for balance. When one system fails it often results in dizziness or vertigo.
If you seeking a long term solution to your recurring dizziness so that you can finally get your life back on track, chiropractic treatment may prove to be just what you have been looking for.
By focusing on the spine and its relation to the body, and by identifying the root cause of your symptoms, we can implement evidence-based techniques to help improve vertigo symptoms.
Our treatments focus on bringing about lasting change for long term symptomatic improvement. Everything is focused on helping you return to life as it was before your dizziness began.
Your treatment begins with a thorough examination, allowing us to fully understand what you’re going through, followed by a tailored treatment plan focused on achieving your personal goals.

BOOK NOWWhilst vertigo has an array of different causes, most medical professionals agree that many of these causes derive from a malfunctioning of the nervous system.
Neuro-Muscular Clinic is an advanced, registered chiropractic clinic with a special interest in neuroscience.
Our individually tailored vertigo and dizziness treatment plans focus on correcting any issues with the nervous system. This may improving spinal mobility and making other adjustments so that the correct flow of communication between the brain and the body is restored. Such treatments may be able to reduce or eliminate some or all of the symptoms of vertigo, including dizziness and headaches.
In addition, our treatments encompass educating our patients on the merits of healthy lifestyle changes, with a view to helping prevent symptoms recurring in the future. We aim to provide a comprehensive service, with the potential to make a considerable difference.
‘Can chiropractors get rid of vertigo?’ This depends on the cause. Some forms of vertigo, such as BPPV, are easily treated and have an extremely high success rate. Other forms can be more challenging but regardless of the cause, the vast majority of our patients feel that treatment has exceeded their expectations.
Vertigo is often associated with dizziness, labyrinthitis, tinnitus and headaches. If you have been suffering from these symptoms long term, and feel you have exhausted all possible avenues of treatment with little or no success, we fully understand how frustrated you must be feeling. Maybe you enjoyed temporary relief, but your symptoms returned. Our goal is to get to the root cause of what you’re experiencing, so we can help make a resounding difference.
Dizziness may come from the neck (cervicogenic), or the inner ear (vestibular system).
When joints are not moving properly, or are causing pain, the amount of information sent from the body to the brain can be reduced. This means that the brain receives less feedback about body position, sometimes resulting in a sensory mismatch, a bit like being on a boat. Your eyes and ears sense one thing, but your body feels another. This can result in cervicogenic dizziness, which can be helped with chiropractic treatment and exercises.
Typically, inner ear malfunctions can occur either through infection (labyrinthitis), or through a build-up of debris (BPPV). Vertigo, along with balance disorders, tinnitus and hearing loss, are all side effects of labyrinthitis.
Normally, labyrinthitis is self-resolving, but sometimes the nerves don’t fully recover or the brain isn’t able to recalibrate. Vestibular rehabilitation can help by training the vestibular system to function properly. Chiropractors for dizziness and vertigo can also carry out a dizziness treatment known as the Epley Manoeuvre, which removes debris from the inner ear, quickly and effectively stopping vertigo.
My journey with Mr Cook has been amazing. I am seeing results that I have never seen before and following recent surgery on both my back and hip Mr Cook has assisted me with my recovery and rehabilitation. I would 100% recommend the Clinic and look forward to completing my rehabilitation journey with Mr Cook.
After trying several other treatments and having little success, I came across The Neuro-Muscular Clinic and without any exaggeration, Jake has been an absolute life saver. All of my symptoms have reduced significantly. I would highly recommend Jake!
Really amazing clinic, quiet, clean and welcoming, I travel far because Jake is the only practitioner who can treat my condition. He always gets back to me if I have questions or need to change an appointment. I highly recommend seeing him if you have pain or joint problems or need someone who specialises in chiropractic neurology.

Chiropractors can help with many types of vertigo, but establishing the cause is important. The key is an accurate diagnosis. Once we know what is causing your symptoms, we can decide what form of vertigo treatment would be best for you. If we’re not the right place, we should be able to refer you to someone who can help.
We offer an initial 60-minute consultation priced at £100 which will allow us to determine the root cause of your dizziness symptoms. Once we have a thorough understanding of your situation, we will be able to devise a tailored treatment plan for you, following which you will be invited to attend a series of 30-minute follow-up appointments. These are priced at £60 per session. NHS, military or police force workers are entitled to a 10% discount on all appointments.
Many chiropractors offer much shorter follow-up sessions than we do here at the Neuro-Muscular Clinic, sometimes only 50 per cent of the time. We’ve always felt that longer appointments are more beneficial to our patients. We need the time to assess how your condition has changed since the last treatment, and to ensure the treatments we are administering are working as planned. You can rest assured that you will never feel rushed during your appointments.
Every patient is different. Lifestyles differ. Symptoms and their severity vary. Goals will be personal to the individual. Because of this, we fully tailor all our vertigo and dizziness treatment sessions. One thing that will always be constant though, is our goal to instigate considerable change, so that improvements last for the long term. Should you have any budget or time constraints, we will of course factor these in. But with Neuro-Muscular Clinic, you will always receive an honest opinion when it comes to the recommended treatment time.
Our core goal as chiropractors for dizziness and vertigo is to help you get back to enjoying a life free from dizziness and any other symptoms of vertigo you have been experiencing. For this reason we will, where appropriate, provide you with a customised home exercise plan. The plan will be designed to support your in-clinic treatment. You can rest assured though that we will work through the exercises with you during your treatment sessions so we can be certain you are confident to undertake them alone. We won’t bombard you with too many either. Each plan will include only up to three exercises, complete with helpful diagrams, simple descriptions and, in some cases, videos. It is not about leaving you to continue your treatment alone, but about creating a self-help plan for long term benefit.
